The Zimmerman house is closed for the season from January 14 to March 31, and will re-open for tours Monday, April 1.

The Currier Gallery of Art offers you a unique opportunity to explore the world of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Zimmerman House is the only residence in New England designed by the acclaimed American architect and open to the public.

Wright designed the Zimmerman House in 1950, planning its gardens, its built-in and freestanding furniture, its textiles, and even the mailbox! The Zimmerman house offers a glimpse into the 1950s - 1960s, and the private lives of Isadore and Lucille Zimmerman, who lived in the home for 36 years.

All tours leave from the Currier Gallery of Art by museum van only. Zimmerman House tours are conducted Thursday, Friday and Monday at 2:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Tour prices include general admission to the Currier Gallery of Art. Children must be age seven or older for Zimmerman House tours.

The Currier offers in-depth tours of the Zimmerman House on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. These tours include an introductory slide show, live classical music at the house and extended visiting time. The final in-depth tour of the season will take place on Sunday, October 7; in-depth tours resume in late March.

Twilight tours take place on selected Friday evenings, beginning at 6:00 p.m. After a brief orientation with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments served at the Currier, visitors travel to the Zimmerman house as the sun is setting, to view the house in a magical light. Twilight tours resume again in May.
